Animanga Club Birthday Party
If you are a manga or anima fan, you will enjoy sharing your interest with fellow fans. Club members get first dibs on new manga and anime and preview anime, advise me on what series to buy for the collection, and learn all kinds of things about Japanese culture.

We have winners!
Twenty seven teens spent yesterday afternoon at Plugged and Unplugged, our after school program. Specially fun because there was no school yesterday, it was a good time to spend with friends playing games and talking and snacking! Don't miss it next Wednesday, 2-5 pm in the large meeting room.
Next Tuesday, February 19, will be the Teen Writers Club next meeting at 4-5 pm in the small meeting room. If you love to write already or would like to improve your writing skills, this is the club for you. Chase Will leads us in writing exercises and gives us encouragement by sharing his readings and experience.

Catching Up!
Here is what is coming up for teens at the library:
The Teen Writers Club is meeting in the small meeting room on February 5th and 19th at 4-5 pm. Chase Will leads the group, inspiring us to write with prompts and tips. You can sign up here.
The Animanga Club invites teens to a manga drawing workshop led by Russull Merritt on Wednesday, February, 5-7 pm in the large meeting room. Sign up here.
The weekly Plugged and Unplugged After School Club meets Each Wednesday in February. Teens are invited to use the Internet, play wii and PS2 and watch movies. Refreshments provided. 2-5 pm in the large meeting room
Teens Talk Books will meet on February 28th. If you love books and want to see what's new and talk about what you like to read, this is the club for you! 4-5 pm in the large meeting room.
Stop by the Teen Room in the library to play Name That Candy and win a Valentine package for you and your friend or sweetheart!

What's Happening This Week @ the Library for Teens
Wednesday is Plugged and Unplugged, our weekly afterschool game and movie program. Unwind and relax in the middle of the week with friends and try out wii and PS2 games, surf the net, and watch a movie. Afterschool until 5 pm.
Wednesday is also Animanga Club at 5 pm. For anime and manga fans to share their interests, check out any new stuff and preview anime. Sometimes we get into other things like cooking, Cosplay, learning Japanese, drawing and playing games!

It's Teen Read Week!
Check out the cool Teen Read Week display case at the library. The design was chosen by the Teen Advisory Board and photos of teens at the programs throughout the year are featured.
Pick up a survey in the young adult room and tell us what you like to read. Take the survey to the reference desk and pick out a prize bag!
Come to "Cartooning with Duane" on Thursday night. Duane Abel, the cartoonist for ZED comics will be conducting a drawing workshop for teens. 7 to 8 pm. Sign up here!

September Stuff
Plugged and Unplugged: Every Wednesday you can drop in after school until 5 pm for video and board games, Internet, movies, and snacks in the large meeting room. We have laptops, Nintendo wii, Playstation 2. You are welcome to bring your games to share and bring a friend. Teens only!

Animanga Club: discuss manga and anime, preview anime, get first dibs on additions to the collection, learn about Japanese cluture.
Teens Talk Books: discuss new books, favorite books, and what you're reading. We meet the last Thursday of each month at 4 pm.
Teen Advisory Board: plan programs, shop for books and select music for the young adult collection, volunteer! We meet on the last Monday of each month at 4 pm.
Teen Writers Club: get writing tips and prompts, share what you write with other teen writers. We meet on the first Tuesday of each month at 4 pm.

Back to School
We have high speed Internet access and databases for researching and homework. You can reserve computer time by calling the library at 622-0956.
We have the books you need for book reports and book discussions, plus Cliff Notes and Masterplots.
We have Plugged and Unplugged after school on Wednesdays, 2-5 pm, in the large meeting room where you can do homework, visit with friends, snack, and hang out. Board and video games, movies, and Internet will be ready and waiting.
We have magazines, graphic novels, comic books, music, and movies for when you need a break at home.
Make visiting the library part of your school schedule!

MONOPOLY Champ!
Kris Hains, age 18, is the 2007 Teen Monopoly Tournament champ! Kris was the high scoring player in the final round Saturday afternoon at the library. Kris won $50 in Coshocton County Bucks and a new MONOPOLY game.
The players enjoyed a pizza lunch, other prizes and trying out the new Nintendo wii purchased by the library.
Thank you to the Friends of the Library for the prize money and pizza lunch, Hasbro for the MONOPOLY games and the Coshocton Foundation for the funds to purchase the wii.
